Had an awesome lecture today. Ciaran Carson and Glen Patterson who are very prolific Irish writers (so prolific in fact that I hadn't heard of them until I started at Queens) read from their books and told us stuff about literature that was interesting. They also took questions at the end and I asked if they had both always known they wanted to be writers. Unfortunately I was sitting at the very back of a ludricusly steep lecture hall so I kind of had to shout. But they were very nice and answered my question in such a way that they also imparted wisdom about creative writing. So that was awesome! I get a little fangirly around writers as well which amuses my friends no end.
So aside from that I've been trying to force myself to study. My essays are pretty much wrapped up, all I have to do is re-read about four books and brush up on my stupid film info.
Going to see Star Trek on thursday and I can't wait. It looks awesome. Also saw Coraline at the weekend and it was wonderful. Speaking of Neil Gaiman he's on Blue Peter today and I know this because I Twitter-stalk him.
Anyhoo, that's all from me.
